About us
We are a nationally recognised and regulated Awarding Organisation, an approved apprenticeships End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and Custom Certification Services provider. Our industry-leading team add value and impact to the development of workforce skills, flexibility, and jobs.
We support employers and training providers to deliver world-class learning and development solutions predominantly across the Policing, Fire & Rescue, Justice, Security, Local Authority and Healthcare sectors.
Our heritage
SFJ Awards was born out of Skills for Justice, the UK Sector Skills Council for Justice, as an independent entity. Supporting skills development is part of our DNA.
Skills for Justice remains our sister organisation as part of The Workforce Development Trust group, a collective of skills focussed brands championing sustainable, empowered workforces.

- Offer a dedicated account manager to support you and your team.
- Promise you will always speak to a person – we never use Interactive Voice Response (VR) to handle calls.
- Aim to answer all email enquiries within 24 hours (Monday to Friday).
- Look to provide custom solutions when regulated qualifications don’t meet your needs and requirements.
- Provide bespoke 1-2-1 training in the use of our systems.
- Offer monthly online drop ins for our customers – meaning you can speak to someone face to face when you want to.
- We will support you through the approval process and have subject matter experts on hand to advise and guide you when needed.
- Offer sponsorship opportunities that make a difference to the lives of the workforces SFJ Awards accredit, and the wider communities they support.
