Along with our sister organisation, Skills for Justice, the SFJ Awards team will be exhibiting, and speaking at, the Emergency Services Show 2021. The first face-to-face event our team will be attending since November 2019, and an opportunity to meet and greet key stakeholders from across the Emergency Services, including Policing, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance and First Response employees.
Team members, including Franco Mattiello and Chelsea Littleton-Harper will be on-hand to support attendees interested in hearing more about opportunities to deliver regulated qualifications, deliver professional development with custom certification for learners, and support employers with their apprenticeship programmes and End-Point Assessment strategies.
Joining up with our colleagues from Skills for Justice, will mean employers can also find out more about the Skills for Justice Membership, which provides additional workforce development support, free networking opportunities with organisations such as the Ministry of Justice and the National Crime Agency, plus a range of extra benefits from the Sector Skills Council for Justice.
We’re delighted to also be supporting the Emergency Services Show, by delivering two speaking sessions for attendees, with special guests from across the justice and emergency services sector.
Sustainable integrated services: lessons learned from workforce collaboration throughout Covid-19
Candace Miller, Managing Director of SFJ Awards will be chairing a panel discussion, considering the lessons learned from the past 18-months whereby organisations, employees and volunteers have delivered exceptional services through collaboration and partnership in response to Covid-19. The guest panel will include:

Tickets to attend the Emergency Services Show, on the 7th and 8th of September, are free and anyone can attend.
Skills for Justice work closely with policing and law enforcement employers to help them understand their skills needs and to plan for future workforce scenarios. This includes recent research (commissioned by the Police Uplift Programme) with staff and officers across all 43 police forces in England and Wales, to understand more about equality, diversity and inclusion. Speaking at the second session, hosted by Skills for Justice will be:
