Centres offering our qualifications must have in place internal quality assurance procedures to ensure assessment meets all SFJ Awards’ requirements, you can download our Centre Approval Guidance or contact us on 0114 284 1970. You will also need to agree to our Terms and Conditions of Business and complete and return our Finance form
Centres that are already approved by another awarding organisation may already have procedures in place which meet our Centre Approval Criteria and therefore, becoming an SFJ Awards Centre will be a simple and straight forward process.
We are experts in qualification development and we can guide and support you through the whole process. We have a track record of developing employer-led qualifications that equip individuals with the knowledge, skills and competences required for working in the public and private sectors.
Centre Support and Advice
If you are brand new to qualifications then becoming an Assessment Centre can be a daunting prospect. In addition to the free e-mail and telephone support we provide, SFJ Awards can provide one to one support and work with you to develop your practices, resources, policies and procedures and guide you through the centre approval process.
Assessment and Quality Assurance
Effective assessment is the cornerstone to qualifications and can reduce the cost and bureaucracy associated with qualifications. We can work with you to put in place high quality, pragmatic assessment practices and systems. We can support all stages of the assessment process including planning, implementing, recording and reviewing assessment. We can also help with establishing, reviewing and improving quality assurance procedures.
In addition, SFJ Awards offers workshops to support Learners and provide CPD for Assessors and Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs).
We can develop suitable assessment instruments that support the assessment of specific qualifications. This may include the development of approaches for knowledge based qualifications (e.g. Multiple Choice Questions, scenario based questions) and competence based qualifications (e.g. evidence requirements). We can also assist with producing assessment guidance to support the delivery of qualifications.
