What are the objectives for the Level 6 Diploma in Conducting Serious and Complex Investigations Qualification?

This qualification consists of 6 units which have been designed to develop the knowledge and skills required by detectives to conduct serious and complex investigations. 

What are the pre-entry requirements for the Level 6 Diploma in Conducting Serious and Complex Investigations Qualification?

This qualification is aimed at individuals who carry out serious and complex investigations and includes but is not limited to:

  • Police constables who wish to progress to the detective role
  • Existing detectives who wish to gain a qualification and recognition of their knowledge and competence
  • Police staff investigators
  • Individuals whose role involves carrying out serious investigations for agencies and commercial organisations such as DWP, HMRC, Trading Standards, National Crime Agency and banks.

It is recommended that learners should have already completed initial investigator training before undertaking this qualification.
