Brogan Lynde joined the team in January 2024 as our Product Development Administrator. Product development is a huge part of what we do and it’s an area of our business that requires a lot of detailed administration work. Brogan provides crucial support and ensures that new developments run as smoothly as possible.
Brogan brought with her a wealth of experience through various administrative roles. Describing her previous experience, she said:
“Having moved around a lot, I’ve gained experience in various administrative roles, but I’ve now found myself firmly rooted in Sheffield. I worked with a veterinary clinic, where I organised CPD and ongoing training for vets, ensuring they stayed up to date with their credentials.
“This role introduced me to the importance of professional development and meticulous planning, which I carried forward into my position as an Operational Training Administrator with the fire service. There, I supported all learning and development programmes – from onboarding fresh-faced firefighters to developing leaders at the chief level.
“These experiences provided the perfect foundation for my role with SFJ Awards.”
Brogan provides administrative and project support to the product development team. She shared a bit about her day-to-day role with us:
“While there are a range of structured tasks, my role also demands flexibility to take on last-minute projects and respond to evolving priorities. A typical day might involve organising meetings, maintaining records, liaising with stakeholders, and updating systems and processes.
“I often work closely with other areas of the business such as the End-Point Assessment (EPA) team, systems and business development. My favourite part of the role is the product development team I’m a part of – they create a positive and supportive work environment. I also love the abundant opportunities for learning; there’s always something new to discover, and the depth of knowledge you can gain is incredible.”
When asked what she likes about working for SFJ Awards, Brogan said:
“My favourite part about working at SFJ Awards is the people. The team is incredibly supportive, positive and always there to help you learn and grow. Collaboration is at the heart of the organisation, where everyone brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.
“Every day offers the opportunity to learn something new – whether it’s about the General Conditions of Recognition, the intricacies of business development or even the art of making a professional-quality coffee!”
Over the upcoming months, Brogan is particularly looking forward to deepening her understanding of qualification development:
“I have a structured training plan that will support my growth and provide opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills further.”
