For the fourth year in a row, we are celebrating the fantastic achievements of apprentices and their employers in key sectors that we serve – Fire and Rescue, Policing, Custody and Detention, Health and Emergency Care.
With National Apprenticeship Week 2024 fast approaching, we’d like to help spread the word about the incredible opportunities that apprenticeships in unique roles such as Firefighter, Custody and Detention Officer, Intelligence Analyst, and Peer Support Worker in healthcare or justice settings offer. To do this, we will be launching our fourth Meet the Apprentice Champions campaign in February 2024. Taking part is a great way to share the success stories of your apprentices, as well as inspire more students to enrol on an apprenticeship.
We’d like to hear from apprentices who have recently completed, or are still undertaking, their apprenticeship. We want to share their insights on how to get started, their highlights, their experience with End-Point Assessment and what they hope to achieve next in their careers. Help us celebrate the many benefits that apprentices bring to your organisation, and how developing these crucial skills does so much to support services that ensure public safety and wellbeing.
How to get involved
Anyone who has recently finished or is currently undertaking an apprenticeship is invited to complete this short form and share their experiences of being an apprentice.
Managers, apprenticeship leads and tutors can also share their thoughts and advice on what to expect from an apprenticeship by completing this short form.
If you’d like to get involved, make sure you complete your form by Wednesday 13 December, when submissions will close.
You will be asked a series of short questions, which the SFJ Awards team will use to write a draft introduction about you, your organisation and your apprentices. We will then contact you to share the drafted piece and advise on when and how this will be published.
Our online series Meet the Apprentice Champions will launch during National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2024) which is taking place 5–11 February.
Make sure you sign up to our newsletter to find out more and receive the release of our Meet the Apprentice Champions series next year.
