Systems are a crucial part of the smooth running of an awarding body. Our systems team is led by Systems Manager, Sam Bushnell. Sam has almost 30 years’ experience in working with customer service, projects, systems, and business analysis.
“In my previous roles, I acquired skills and experience in system configuration, database administration, management information provision, business analysis, business process engineering, user acceptance testing, and workshop facilitation.”
Over her 10 years with SFJ Awards, Sam has implemented and manages many systems which aid our processes as an awarding organisation, including our Odyssey portal and Rogo platform for e-assessment.
“Some of my current projects include the provision of workflow to allow external customers to self-serve for common requests and to improve internal management of key activities, such as New Centre approval and External Quality Assurance. As we transition to our business as usual with our Rogo platform (e-assessment) we are working with colleagues in Business Development and Product Development to further explore and utilise its capabilities so that SFJ Awards will be able to expand its offer to our Approved Centres and End-Point Assessment (EPA) customers.”
When asked what she enjoys about working at SFJ Awards, Sam said:
“Lots of things! I work with some amazing people. They are supportive, dedicated and imaginative. My work allows me to make the best of my own talents and develop the talents of others. We never stand still and although this brings challenges, finding solutions can be fun. (Yeah, I probably should get out more!)”
