Guidance for Centres – awarding of vocational, technical, and other general qualifications, in summer 2020

OfQual’s ‘Guidance for Centres – what to expect for summer 2020’, published on May 14, has been developed with the Association of Colleges and Association of Employment and Learning Providers and it sets out what centres can expect over the coming days and weeks.

As your trusted Awarding Organisation, we welcome the publication of this guidance, and urge any centre to get in touch with us directly if you have any queries about the approach we are taking to ensure centres offering our qualifications can continue supporting and progressing learners during these most unusual times.

As progress is made towards a possible return to operating learning programmes in some settings, we ask that all training providers and learners continue to follow official government advice to help ensure protection for both yourselves and learners. To assist this further, new guidance on ‘Covid-19: Implementing protective measures in education and childcare settings’ was published on May 12. Please ensure that these guidelines are adhered to for future training and exams.
