FAQs for SFJ Awards approved centres

  • Where do I get a qualification handbook?

    You can access handbooks for all the qualifications you are approved to offer via the Odyssey online system. If you require a different handbook, please contact us.

  • How do I order a replacement certificate?

    You can email us with your request, please provide as much detail as possible, (learners name, date of birth, learner number, certificate number, qualification achieved) there is a £30 charge for replacement certificates. Please contact us to arrange this.

  • How do I request for additional qualification(s) to be added to our centre portfolio?

    You will need to download an additional qualification application form available in your documents tab in Odyssey online and submit it to us with supporting information. Your application will be reviewed and the approval outcome confirmed formally by email to the Head of Centre. Search our database of trusted qualifications to find more information about what we offer in a wide range of industries.

     

  • How do I get a copy of the SFJ Awards logo and how do I to use it?

    On approval with you will have been sent copies of our approved centre logo and guidelines on its use. Please contact us if you require the logo again.

  • What is the SFJ Awards Custom Certification Service?

    SFJ Awards customised awards scheme has been designed to support the many organisations who devise their own high-quality learning programmes that are not part of the national Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

    Customised certification recognises, quality assures and certificates bespoke learning programmes and has been designed to accredit individuals who have completed a number of different types of learning and development programmes including events, webinars, e-Learning and complete programmes.

    By working with SFJ Awards, organisations can develop and implement learning programmes that adhere to a recognised quality assurance process. This results in a quality tailored training programme that remains the intellectual property of the organisation that has developed it, as well as providing increased confidence in the learning programme and ensuring learners have the right skills to do their jobs with.

  • Do SFJ Awards advertise approved centres on the website?

    We have a centre directory where approved centres can be listed, sharing their company information, website, contact details and location. If you are an approved centre and would like to be listed on the website, please complete this form.

Odyssey FAQs

How can I get additional Odyssey online login IDs?

You should download a form available in your documents tab in Odyssey online, complete and return it. This will need authorising by your Head of Centre.

How do I add additional learners on to a class on Odyssey?

When you need to add learners to an existing class, navigate into the class on Odyssey, then select the ‘learner registrations’ drop down, and click on ‘submit additional learner registrations’.

After the class setup page has loaded, please upload a learner registration sheet, check the information after upload, and then click submit.

How do I withdraw learners?

To withdraw a learner, please navigate to the class on Odyssey by going to the Odyssey home page and clicking on ‘Actions’, then ‘Your Classes’. Scroll down to the learner registrations, then click on the ‘Actions’ drop-down menu next to the learner’s name, and select ‘Withdraw’.

You will then be able to select a reason for the withdrawal; once you have done so, click on ‘Withdraw’.

Sometimes, the option for withdrawing a learner is not available on Odyssey, for example, if the qualification has expired. In that case, please email us at info@sfjawards.com, with the learner’s name and the class you would like them to be withdrawn from, and we will process the withdrawal for you.

How to add colleagues onto Odyssey?

You can add colleagues onto Odyssey via the ‘Contact Manager’ page – you can find this icon when you first log into Odyssey.

Once you have clicked on the icon and the page has loaded, you should see and be able to click on the ‘Add New Contact’ button. Please note, when registering IQAs, Assessors and Exams Officers, you will need to fill in a centre detail changes form and send this to our Quality Assurance team, as these roles require QA approval.

You can upload supporting documents such as CVs, CPD records or Proof of Qualifications via each contact’s ‘action menu’ to the left once your colleague has been registered. Your colleague can then go onto the Odyssey home page, input their email address and click ‘forgotten password’ and they will be sent an email to set a new password. After they have done this, they will be able to log in.

What happens when I register the learner on the incorrect qualification and what process do I follow?

Please contact SFJ Awards via email with the learner or learners’ details and the class ID on which you have incorrectly registered. You will then need to withdraw the learner and re-register them on the correct qualification and inform us of the new class number so we can invoice correctly. Please note, if you do not let us know this information, or the invoicing period has passed, you will be charged.

What to do when I claim for the wrong unit on a learner?

You will need to contact your QA Officer and the Customer Service Team with the following information: Learner’s name, qualification and learners class ID. Your QA Officer will then advise you of next steps.
