The national Our Health Heroes Awards is back for a seventh consecutive year. These awards are delivered by our sister organisation Skills for Health, also part of The Workforce Development Trust, and proudly supported by SFJ Awards, Health Education England, NHS Employers, UNISON, National Health Executive and more.
A lifelong learning culture is fundamental for NHS employers and staff who may spend their careers in the healthcare sector, which has changed dramatically since the NHS was created almost 75 years ago.
Recognised as the leading national awards scheme for the roles that often go unnoticed by the public, the Our Health Heroes Awards celebrate individuals and teams often working ‘behind the scenes’ without whom the NHS simply could not function.
As champions of exceptional learning and development programmes, apprenticeships and vocational qualifications, SFJ Awards are delighted to be sponsoring the Dedication to a Lifelong Learning Culture award category this year. NHS and healthcare employers who go above and beyond to support the ongoing learning and development of their workforce, lifelong careers will be recognised as making a difference, as well as improving patient outcomes by enhancing skills.
How to make a nomination?
This award recognises new approaches to improve learning and development in healthcare, across teams, departments, or entire organisations, and champions commitments to lifelong professional learning for the workforce. Nominations for the awards are now open until 20th February. You can explore the award categories and make a nomination here: www.skillsforhealth.org.uk/ohh.
