Nominations are now open for the inaugural Inspire Justice Awards, sponsored by SFJ Awards.
Delivered by Skills for Justice and supported by UNISON, SFJ Awards, National Association of Probation Officers (NAPO) and Policing Insight/Policing TV, the Inspire Justice Awards celebrates and shines a light on the wider justice workforce that keeps our criminal justice system running smoothly.
Celebrating the essential contribution of our non-front line staff in the UK’s justice sector, for example call handlers, training teams, data analysts, administrative roles and many more, we are proud to launch the inaugural Inspire Justice Awards. These unsung heroes deserve to have their stories and contributions publicly recognised. They are our key allies and partners enabling operational front-line staff to maintain public safety and reduce crime.
Across 10 award categories, the Inspire Justice Awards recognises the outstanding achievements of teams and individuals on whose expertise the justice system is so dependent:
- Custody and Detention Staff Member of the Year
- Police Staff Member of the Year – sponsored by UNISON
- Probation Staff Member of the Year – sponsored by UNISON
- Prosecution, Courts and Tribunals Staff Member of the Year – sponsored by NAPO
- Apprentice of the Year – sponsored by SFJ Awards
- Best Newcomer Award
- Health and Wellbeing Employer
- Inclusion and Diversity Initiative
- Learning and Development Programme
- Voluntary Contribution to Community Safety and Justice
Nominations are welcomed from across the community, including from colleagues of the inspirational teams and individuals that represent some of the best and brightest members of the wider justice workforce.
Nominations will be open for roughly two months, closing at 11.59pm on 8th August.
Following a rigorous judging process, finalists will be notified in September, before the winners are announced at a glittering awards ceremony held at Birmingham Botanical Gardens in November.
