What are the objectives of the Level 3 Diploma?
The objective of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to work in a custody or detention environment. The qualification aims to cover all custody and detention environments, including all categories of prisons, escorting and young offender institutions. This qualification is an updated version of, and will replace, the Level 3 Diploma in the Management and Care of Individuals in the Custodial Environment (601/5367/2).
What are the pre-entry requirements for the Level 3 Diploma in the Management and Care of Individuals in Custody or Detention?
There are no pre-entry requirements to undertake this qualification. However, learners will need to be working in a custody or detention environment to be able to generate evidence from the workplace.
