Introducing End-Point Assessment expert, Kit Salt

We’re delighted to welcome Kit Salt to our newly created post of End Point Assessment (EPA) Services Manager.

Joining our Senior Management Team from her previously held position within our EPA Team here at SFJ Awards, Kit has a wealth of expertise in developing and managing EPA’s and apprenticeship delivery and will work alongside colleagues to provide strategic direction and leadership, with key responsibility for the End-Point Assessment Service.

Prior to joining SFJ Awards, Kit was the Apprenticeship Manager for a large local authority education provider and had responsibility for the strategic planning, operational delivery and quality assurance of apprenticeships across a wide range of vocational areas. Kit is also an experienced Independent End-Point Assessor and carried out some of the first EPAs in the country.

Kit has worked in education for over 20 years, both in further and higher education delivery, face to face classroom-based learning, working as an assessor and internal quality assurer and as an online tutor.  Before specialising in apprenticeships, Kit managed a variety of work-based learning programmes, working with many large organisational development teams to plan and design work-based learning programmes.

Kit has a history of being accountable for compliance and working with regulatory bodies to ensure that funding criteria is met, and quality assurance procedures, policies and strategies are robust, ensuring that the apprentice is kept at the heart of design and delivery.

Kit is currently completing a Master’s in Education, Leadership and Management – the final year of research exploring how apprenticeships are being used by public sector employers to plug skills gaps and address skills shortages.

Outside of work, Kit sings in a competitive barbershop chorus which competes internationally, is a keen badminton player and, if there is any time left, enjoys spending time with family and friends and of course, watching coronation street.

Contact Kit today, for all of your EPA needs.
