Here at SFJ Awards, we’ve long been advocates of apprenticeships, however in 2021 we want to take this up a gear, and further champion both apprentices and those working hard behind the scenes to support apprenticeships. And this is your chance to get involved!
We’re launching the first ‘Meet the Apprenticeship Champions’ initiative, to recognise the hundreds of employers and individuals who work to keep vocational training at the heart of workforce development.
We want to hear from anyone who is currently an apprentice, or who has recently completed their apprenticeship as an Operational Firefighter, Custody and Detention Officer, Police Community Support Officer, Community Safety Advisor, Business Fire Safety Advisor, or Emergency Service Contact Handler.
Through sharing insights from first-hand experience, we want to shine a light on the important careers available through apprenticeships. ‘Why become an apprentice, what is the most enjoyable part, and what would you say to anyone considering an apprenticeship scheme?‘
If you’re an apprentice currently undertaking, or having recently completed your apprenticeship, please share your story by completing our simple online form.
If you’re an employer who oversees apprenticeships, you can have your say too, by filling in the employer online form. Once complete, we will be publishing your stories and insights on our website and across social media during National Apprenticeship Week 2021, commencing February 8, and throughout the year.
