How can police forces formally recognise the knowledge, skills and professional competence developed through the Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP)?
SFJ Awards is hosting a free, 30-minute webinar exploring the SFJ Awards Level 5 Diploma in Professional Policing Practice, its alignment with the College of Policing’s PCEP curriculum and how police forces can deliver the qualification.
The session will also explore Recommendation 8 from the Police Leadership Commission report, which highlights the importance of considering formal accreditation of learning undertaken through PCEP.
What will the webinar cover?
The webinar will provide an overview of the qualification and its place within the wider policing qualification landscape, including:

- The Level 5 Diploma in Professional Policing Practice: Understand the qualification’s structure, assessment approach and alignment with the College of Policing’s PCEP curriculum, including recent updates reflecting changes to the national curriculum.
- Straightforward approval and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Discover how forces can use their existing College of Policing Quality Standards Assessment (QSA) report to support SFJ Awards’ fast-track qualification approval process, and how up to 100% RPL may be available where existing learning and assessment evidence meets the qualification requirements.
