SFJ Awards is mindful of the current changes being introduced by the College of Policing and the impact of the current COVID-19 pandemic, which has changed and challenged the landscape of our sectors in so many ways over the last few months.
As you may already be aware, the College of Policing have announced that the Level 3 Diploma in Policing will cease to be mandated by them on June 30, 2020. However, our experience is showing that we are still receiving great interest from customers wanting to continue with accrediting their initial learning programmes using SFJ Awards Level 3 Diploma in Policing at this time.
Therefore, we have decided that SFJ Awards will continue to offer this qualification whilst there is sufficient demand, and we would like to confirm to centres and learners that we have no plans to withdraw SFJ Awards Level 3 Diploma in Policing from our provision.
We have been advised that the College of Policing have agreed to allow forces to continue to use IPLDP for a period beyond June 2020 but ask that any ongoing references to College of Policing endorsement of the initial programme are removed.
As an Awarding Organisation regulated by the qualification regulators in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, should there be a time where there is insufficient customer demand to maintain this qualification, we will implement our qualification withdrawal procedure in accordance with our regulatory procedures.
We would like to assure you that, should this procedure be implemented, there will be a minimum of a two-year period from not accepting learner registrations to the end of certification. This will allow learners registered on the qualification to complete their training and achieve formal accreditation.
If you are interested in this qualification, or require any more information, guidance or support on any of our qualifications, please don’t hesitate to contact our team on 0114 284 1970 or info@sfjawards.com
