What are the objectives for the Level 3 Award in Understanding Neighbourhood Policing?

The main objective of this qualification is to provide the underpinning knowledge for those who work, or are intending to work, in a role which requires them to engage formally and informally with community partners in neighbourhood policing. This qualification could therefore be suitable for those working, or preparing to work, in the police service (for example police staff, police officers and police community support officers), social services, neighbourhood watch or community safety.

What are the pre-entry requirements for the Level 3 Award in Understanding Neighbourhood Policing?

There are no pre-entry requirements for this qualification. However, centres must ensure that learners are able to complete this qualification, for example, through completing a skills scan to ensure they can work at the appropriate level.
