Qualification development experts SFJ Awards have launched a new Level 4 Certificate in Business and Administrative Management.
The qualification, which aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to be able to move into a more senior role within business and administrative management, is an updated and revised version of the Level 4 Certificate in Office and Administration Management. SFJ Awards worked alongside a group of experts to ensure the qualification remained fit for purpose.
The new qualification went live on 1 June and includes changes to much of its content, as well as to its title, to reflect a more inclusive administrative qualification that does not solely focus on ‘office’ management, as this term has become outdated over the past few years.
Adam Fidler, Principal and Founder of Adam Fidler Academy, who was part of the working group, comments:
“The new and revised Level 4 Certificate in Business and Administrative Management is an essential qualification and took-kit for Personal Assistants (PAs), Executive Assistants (EAs) and other business support professionals who are seeking to future-proof and expand their roles. The qualification is taken further by equipping jobholders in the competencies of leadership and management, commercial awareness and business studies. That, in a nutshell, is the bread and butter of a professional business support manager.
“It’s a brilliant qualification and springboard for those in the administrative profession who have aspirations and ambition.”
Lindsay Taylor, Director at Your Excellency, was also part of the working group. She adds:
“As an advocate and champion of the EA and PA profession, we recognise how important it is for those working in these roles to employ the most up to date thinking and learning. This revised qualification acknowledges the expertise needed for experienced Personal Assistants, Executive Personal Assistants and Office and Administration Managers to gain formal recognition of their skills.”
