What is the objective of the SFJ Awards Level 5 Award in Neighbourhood and Community Planning qualification?

The main objective of this qualification is to provide learners with the skills to be able to develop, implement and evaluate neighbourhood and community plans. It is likely to be suitable for those whose job or community role involves managing neighbourhood teams. Job areas for those eligible could include senior police officers, senior police staff, police community support officers, social services, neighbourhood watch and community safety.

What are the pre-entry requirements for the SFJ Awards Level 5 Award in Neighbourhood and Community Planning?

There are no pre-entry requirements for this qualification. However, centres must ensure that learners are working in a role which allows them to develop and evidence their skills in neighbourhood and/or community work and are able to complete this qualification, for example, through completing a skills scan to ensure they can work at the appropriate level.
