Updated fire sprinkler qualifications to upskill domestic and residential sprinkler installers

Fire qualification experts SFJ Awards have updated and re-released the Level 2 Certificate in Fire Sprinkler Installation. It has been redeveloped to meet sector needs and to align with legislative updates.

The sprinkler sector has experienced significant growth in the past decade, with regulation failing to keep pace. Particularly in light of recommendations following events such as the Grenfell fire and the Hackett Report’s call for industry-wide training, this update marks the initial step towards aligning the sprinkler sector with new government guidelines.

For the first time the qualification has also been developed with subject matter experts from the residential sector, which means it has now been adapted to encompass both domestic and residential content.

SFJ Awards took an inclusive approach to the consultation and design of the course content, aimed at gathering diverse insights to ensure it reflects the input and considerations of stakeholders.

The certificate is the perfect entry-level qualification for learners, equipping individuals with the necessary competencies to demonstrate proficiency in both domestic and residential sprinkler installation on-site.
