Established 1976, the Institute of Professional Investigators is a highly respected membership organisation promoting the profession of the Private Investigator. Our members work with Law Enforcement agencies, Law Society members and associated professions, utilising active contacts across the world.

Authorised to deliver accredited training qualifications, our tutors have served in the UK Police service and National Crime Agency, ensuring current practices are delivered to students.

The IPI are recognised as a MOD ELCAS training provider and offer training to those new to the profession via the introductory ‘Award for Professional Investigators’ alongside CPD opportunities including the ‘Award in Covert Surveillance’.

As an SFJ Awards Approved centre, we are committed to maintaining and supporting our members to achieve a high level of knowledge and experience in our chosen profession.
