About the Qualification
Qualification Number: 603/4951/7
This qualification is a work-based qualification and has been designed to accredit the knowledge and skills of learners who investigate, report and present evidence related to incidents involving fire and/or explosion.
To achieve this qualification. learners must achieve 22 credits from the 4 mandatory units as follows:
- Prepare to investigate an incident involving fire and/or explosion
- Investigate an incident involving fire and/or explosion
- Report on the investigation of incidents involving fire and/or explosion
- Present evidence related to fire investigations in court and at other hearings
The qualification is a replacement for 600/9032/7 (same title) and has been revised with slight amendments made.
Learners who wish to undertake this qualification must be experienced fire investigation practitioners. For more information, please see Section 2.2 Pre-entry Requirements in the qualification handbook, available on request.
