A series of centre standardisation events were held by SFJ Awards towards the end of last year – and we’re now seeking ideas for future events.
The three events, which were held in London, were aimed at helping compare methodologies, share approaches and learn from each other.
They focused on three sectors: management suite qualifications, fire and rescue qualifications, and learning and development sector qualifications.
The events were facilitated by SFJ Awards Quality & Assessment Manager, Pam Hunt, and a relevant subject specialist external quality assurer (EQA), and provided useful ‘good practice’ inputs on a variety of themes including the use of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and what a good complaints policy looks like.
The EQAs also provided inputs on topics of concern in relation to their sectors.
Feedback from the attendees was excellent with a clear appetite for more events to support centres. And further events are now being planned for 2019.
