New! Neighbourhood Management Qualifications

SFJ Awards are pleased to announce our new Neighbourhood Management qualifications.

Neighbourhood management involves communities and local agencies working together to improve services at neighbourhood level.  Positive change can be encouraged in neighbourhoods by having a targeted approach to analysing problems, using a partnership approach to come up with new solutions and improving access to services due to its local presence.

The Level 3 Award in Understanding Neighbourhood Management has been developed to provide the underpinning knowledge for those who work, or are intending to work, in a role which requires them to engage formally and informally with community partners in neighbourhood management, for example, the police service, social services, neighbourhood watch or community safety.

The Level 5 Award in Neighbourhood and Community Planning has been designed to provide learners with the skills to be able to develop, implement and evaluate neighbourhood and community plans. It is likely to be suitable for those whose job or community role involves managing neighbourhood teams such as senior police officers, senior police staff, police community support officers, social services, neighbourhood watch and community safety.  Learners wishing to undertake the Level 5 Award in Neighbourhood and Community Planning will need to be working in a role which allows them to develop and evidence their skills in neighbourhood and/or community work.
