SFJ Awards offer full suite of Education and Training Qualifications

SFJ Awards has announced it now offers the full suite of Education and Training qualifications for people who want to work in the skills sector.

The organisation is now offering:

  • SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF)
  • SFJ Awards Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (QCF)
  • SFJ Awards Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (QCF)

These qualifications are for learners who work, or want to work, as teachers/trainers in the further education and skills sector.  They range from an introduction to teaching at Level 3 through to practical training skills at Level 5.

The qualifications replace the former PTLLS, CTLLS and DTLLS qualifications for teaching in the lifelong learning sector.

SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF)

The qualification provides an introduction to teaching and the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training.  It also includes input on how to plan, deliver and evaluate teaching sessions and give constructive feedback to learners.

SFJ Awards Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (QCF)

The main objective of this qualification is to develop learners’ skills in practical teaching skills and prepare them for work in a wide range of educational contexts.

SFJ Awards Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (QCF)

The main objective of this qualification is to develop learners’ skills in practical teaching skills and prepare them for work in a wide range of educational contexts.  There is a significant practice requirement as this qualification will assess, and provide evidence of, competence when undertaking teaching and/or training responsibilities.
